Yes, you should definitely visit. We have been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cooperstown and the Basketball Hall of Fame and I would say the Basketball Hall of Fame is right up there. It has recently been renovated, there are a ton of interactive exhibits, it shows the history of the sport, lots of facts, cool stuff like comparing your shoe size to the players, you can be a sports telecaster like on ESPN, a huge basketball court to play on. You should go there or you will be kicking yourself. There is an video tour on their website: http://www.hoophall.com/
I believe it is bigger than Cooperstown.
My family is sports obsessed and they really liked it.

PS-As I am sure you know but wanted to mention it: The Hall of Fame is not in Boston. It is in Springfield, MA which is about 90 miles from Boston. It is right off of Interstate 91 and you can see it from the highway.

It's not worth anything, I have the same card along with a bunch of other Hall of Famers I got in Santa Cruz when I was a kid in the 70s from a machine on the board walk. They're not worth anything. Of course the buffoon claiming it's worth a lot is just guessing. It's a reprint like utter is saying.

Just a couple of blocks up the street there's Doubleday Field, there's batting cages and a radar gun there. The museum itself is huge. They just renovated it last year. I go there once a year. The shops along Main St. have an excellent selection of old hats and jerseys and a lot of bat making shops. I actually bought an old school Blue Jays hat last time I was there. There also a lot of places to eat on the main drag too.

If you like BBQ I would recommend going to Brooks BBQ, its 20 minutes to the south in Oneonta
